Alan Donald
Alan is a REALTOR® and Broker Associate with Keller Williams Realty in Charleston-Mt. Pleasant, SC. Initially trained as a Mechanical Engineer, Alan earned a Fulbright Scholarship and completed a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of California at Berkeley, where he specialized in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.
Alan brings extensive and diverse international experience: Real estate sales (residential sales since 2004, commercial and industrial), 8 years of international marketing consulting and 5 years of higher education; in Australia, Canada, Colombia and the U.S.
Since 2004, Alan has sold more than 500 properties worth over $125 million in the Charleston, SC Area and has built a successful business based on strong client relationships. More than 70% of Alan's business comes from referrals from past clients and people who know him. The Alan Donald Team has ranked in the top 5% of the Charleston MLS since 2016, earning the "Realtor of Distinction" Award.
Alan has established a strong presence and brand recognition with the local business community in Mt Pleasant, as well as the Hispanic community in Charleston (he is bilingual in Spanish), and has successfully helped many out-of-town clients who came to retire in Charleston, Mt. Pleasant or Daniel Island, SC. In 2014 Alan received the Seniors' Real Estate Specialist Designation (SRES) and in 2015 his CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designations from the National Association of Realtors. He also earned his Military Relocation Professional (MRP) and Certified Probate Expert (CPE) designations.
Alan's team has ample (and successful) experience working with first-time home buyers, retirees/second home buyers, investors, move-up/downsize clients and military transfers. Their expertise includes new construction single family detached homes and townhomes, pre-owned homes, luxury properties and residential lots.
Alan has been a volunteer at The Citadel School of Business Mentors' Association, the former Latin American Business Council of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors and the Keller Williams Realty Associate Leadership Council.
He is active in the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce and several local networking groups.
In his spare time, Alan is an active tennis player, and enjoys camping, reading, photography, fishing, sailing and traveling.
